The lightest and sharpest of pleats in shimmering crystals and some of the best fox furs we’ve seen all season. Sharon Wauchob’s best collection to date.

Manish Arora A/W 2012

March 8th 2012, Posted By admin In Fashion Theory

The Manish show was a brightly coloured haze. Literally. A crew of graffiti artists worked on a mural as the models walked past in signature Manish – neon ra-ra skirts and electric blue fox furs – leaving guests inhaling a steady flow of spray fumes. Paris Fashion Week: getting you high.

Carven A/W 2012

March 8th 2012, Posted By admin In Fashion Theory

Guillaume Henry’s wizardry at Carven is steadily going from amazing to even more amazing. You can’t tell from our photography, but  skater-skirt dresses and neat blouses were covered in rich, vibrant Hieronymus Bosch prints, and the medieval feeling was echoed in the prettiest of velvet pieces. We’re definitely in the Carven fan club.

Mugler A/W 2012

March 8th 2012, Posted By admin In DANSKWORLD

Thanks to the non-existent cab fleet in Paris (seriously, Parisian cabs are like the car version of unicorns), we nearly didn’t make it to Mugler, but we managed to run in just as the show was starting. This was Mugler very much in the spirit of Thierry: dresses weren’t just sculpted, they were constructed like curve-hugging spacecraft engineering. So bitchin’. And we want one of those Kopenhagen Fur coats.

Rue du Mail A/W 2012

March 8th 2012, Posted By admin In Fashion Theory

Martine Sitbon knitted up a storm at Rue du Mail, resulting in some seriously lovely pieces with a webbed, cage-like effect. Parisian chic at its best.

Dries Van Noten A/W 2012

March 8th 2012, Posted By admin In Fashion Theory

Nothing to start out Paris Fashion Week like a bit Dries. We hit up Hotel de Ville and got Driesy with the master’s incredible collection of prints that he’d found at the V&A. Loved every second. The fur was amazing, as were the coats. Honestly, DVN is like crack to me.

Marnia

March 7th 2012, Posted By kim In DANSKWORLD

Don’t be fooled by the boy hiding in the background of the H&M Marni campaign. The H&M Marni collection is not only women’s wear. The men’s collection is superb and very much true to the Marni DNA. At DANSK we are just longing for better weather here Scandinavia and when it comes we will for sure wear the shirt and short in the photo.

William Richard Green A/W 2012

February 25th 2012, Posted By admin In Fashion Theory

Totes hawt presentation from Mr Green. A coat with a hidden detachable mitten? Yes please. And major props to Will for only using fabrics that are made in England. Save our factories, y’all! In fact, the only thing that wasn’t made in the UK were the zips. Because no one does practical hardware quite like the Germans.
