Finally! Since ‘The Great Gatsby’ recently had its world premiere in New York and will premiere in Europe the following week, we have decided to dedicate this week to the spectacular movie and it’s glamorous universe.

If you weren’t already eagerly awaiting Baz Luhrmann’s ‘The Great Gatsby’, we are sure the stunning costumes designed by Miuccia Prada will lure you in.

Rebellious McQ

We are loving the new bold McQ AW13 collection. The collection aims to reflect McQ’s rebellious and street-inspired heritage by using the twentieth-century avant-garde Czechoslovakian and post-war Italian cinema as inspiration.

Frames of Life

Following the first launch of Armani’s ‘Frames of Life’ eyewear campaign in 2010, the brand has yet again aimed their focus on the new eyewear collection for 2013 with a remake of the campaign.

Crush of the week: Oh Land

Congratulations to Oh Land! This week the beautiful Danish singer turned 28 and we at DANSK would like to celebrate that by crowning her our Crush of the week.

Talented as she is, she has just landed a role in a new movie, ‘The Salvation’, by the Danish director Kristian Levring.

Shanghai affairs

The German luxury brand Hugo Boss will be doing a fashion show in Shanghai later this month, following last year’s show in Beijing.

For the occasion, a two-episode short film titled ‘Shanghai Affairs’ has been produced and will be released in the days leading up to the show.

The Grand Old Dame

Hotel d’Angleterre in Copenhagen has finally re-opened after a two-year long renovation. As one of the most luxurious hotels in Europe the Hotel d’Angleterre holds a beautiful new restaurant called Marchal (named after the hotel’s first chef who ruled the kitchen more than 250 years ago), extraordinary executive suites, grand magnificent ballrooms and a luxurious spa called Amazing Space.

AnyWear

Do you ever walk the streets and suddenly get bored of the dress you are wearing? Well, I do, and now the new iPhone APP, AnyWear, will make it easier for me to take off my dress, and immediately and anywhere pass it on to new happy owners.

Time to Ride

Finally it’s springtime in Copenhagen and luckily for us, our lovely city is one of the greatest bike friendly cities in the world. Now we have an excellent excuse to get on our bike.

The über-cool Danish bicycle brand, Velorbis, makes both classic men’s and women’s bicycles and we, GrenaaBuchard publisher of DANSK Magazine, have had our own bike made where Agnes, our beloved office pooch, can sit.

Summer Shades

It’s finally sunny in Copenhagen (that said, I’m currently on my way to the South of France), and that means the hunt for a new set af shades has begun. I certainly wouldn’t mind the new edition of the Dior Homme BlackTie model. It’s handmade in Japan and comes in various shades (and also as normal specs), but I’m all for this two-twoned metal edition.
