Suzy talks blogs

Much has been said about the introduction of blogs into fashion’s rather tradition-bound print-keen media sphere. I think someone even said something about us… I found it somewhere on Google: something about Mr. Boss being a hypocrite for publicly expressing his concerns about non-fashion-educated bloggers dealing out ’expert opinion’ when Mr. Boss had, in fact, just launched the DANSK blog.

It was actually delightfully catty, really, but - alas – written in Danish. So no, bitchy blog girl, you won’t be getting any easy coverage on our turf for bitching about Mr. Boss, no you won’t. (And FYI: apart from the fact that our blog is an extension of our magazine, the DANSK bloggers and I all have fashion journalism degrees and we each have several cheesy second-year-styling-class shoots from fashion school to prove it.)

On a far more intelligent note, though, I was on The Coveted the other day and happened to stumble upon this delicious clip of Empress Suzy treating us all to a series of brilliant – and brilliantly worded – statements on the topic of fashion blogs.
