Margit Brandt 1945-2011

Today is a sad day for Danish fashion. We lost one of the greatest creative minds in our business when Margit Brandt passed away today at the age of 66.

Margit Brandt and husband Erik were pioneers in fashion during the seventies and early eighties. She was the Mary Quant of Denmark and has inspired designers all over the world with her clever details on trenches, sexy mini skirts in suede and little feminine blouses. A whole generation of women depended on her designs of decadence and simple, sophisticated styles.

Margit Brandt has always inspired us at DANSK tremendously and we are going to miss her wit, charm and creativity.
