Finally! Since ‘The Great Gatsby’ recently had its world premiere in New York and will premiere in Europe the following week, we have decided to dedicate this week to the spectacular movie and it’s glamorous universe.

Crush of the week: Oh Land

Congratulations to Oh Land! This week the beautiful Danish singer turned 28 and we at DANSK would like to celebrate that by crowning her our Crush of the week.

Time to Ride

Finally it’s springtime in Copenhagen and luckily for us, our lovely city is one of the greatest bike friendly cities in the world. Now we have an excellent excuse to get on our bike.

The über-cool Danish bicycle brand, Velorbis, makes both classic men’s and women’s bicycles and we, GrenaaBuchard publisher of DANSK Magazine, have had our own bike made where Agnes, our beloved office pooch, can sit.  (more…)

Crush of the week: Keira Knightley

At the DANSK office we can’t wait to see this lovely English actress on the big screen in ‘Anna Karenina’.

Ms Knightley plays the lead role as Anna Karenina, in the British romantic drama of the same name, alongside Jude Law and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. (more…)

Pop-up Queen

Macy’s in Century City, California, will tomorrow open a pop-up exhibition dedicated to the queen of pop, Madonna.

Madonna herself has hand-picked eight pieces from her costume archive, including the famous Jean Paul Gaultier conical corset and wedding dress worn at MTV VMAs in 1984. Since Macy’s currently hold the latest collection from the Material Girl line, created by Madonna and her daughter Lourdes, it is the perfect time for the exhibition. The extravagant singer is very well known for her bold, humorous, interesting and sometimes shocking choice of clothes, and we would therefore love to see this exhibition.

The pop-up exhibition will only be open Thursday April 25 from 6pm to 8pm.

The Electric Blue Shoes

DANSK recently stopped by the presentation of Danish brand, DAY Birger et Mikkelsen to preview the AW13 collection where we caught up with their current campaign model, Columbine Smille.
The lovely blogger and stylist at STYLEBY shared the same instant fascination for these electric blue shoes, which are a must for the coming Autumn-Winter season.

In the mood for Baum und Pferdgarten

Yesterday we visited the amazing showroom of the Danish brand Baum und Pferdgarten. The AW13 collection was inspired by one of Dansk’s favourite Chinese movies “In the Mood for Love”.  The collection, that Baum und Pferdgarten showed during Copenhagen Fashion Week in February, contains colourful items, amazing prints and looks that are very wearable. What can we say; the DANSK team is very much in the mood for Baum und Pferdgarten!
