DANSK Wishes: Versace

Not that I’d ever betray my dream of one day owning enough Flora Danica to throw a banquet that would put Martha Stewart to shame, but while I’m collecting – or, you know, waiting for someone to start my collection (hint-hint) – I think I’ll take a little Donatella on the side. So I’m chucking a few pieces from the Versace Tresors de la Mer tableware collection on my Christmas list, for when ten of my closests come over for a screening of my new The Borgias box set. Might wear my Versace for H&M cap while I’m at it. Buon Natale, amici!

DANSK Wishes: Smythson

While I do my very best to pretend my job description says ‘read Dlisted.com, watch Ringer and make scrapbooks with pictures of Gabriel Mann’, I do also pretend I’m a fashion journalist of sorts by writing things sometimes. And I really think the words would flow rather better if I put my notes in this gorge peridot Smythson folder. (Also, I’ve been told that it would be beneficial for my further progress in life if I start to attend meetings with a proper grown-up leather-covered notepad rather than an ‘I Heart Justin Bieber’ notebook.)

DANSK Wishes: American Horror Story

The full first season hasn’t even aired yet. I don’t care. I want Ryan Murphy to make me a special box set with all the upcoming episodes. (Maybe he can spritz some of his perfume on it too?) I came for the horror house from that Buffy Halloween episode where the fear demon turns out to be two inches tall (“Don’t taunt the fear demon.” “Why, can he hurt me?” “No, it’s just… tacky.”), and I stayed for the clever horror intertextuality. Did I mention Jessica Lange stars in this? (PS: the boy who plays Tate is really hot.)

DANSK Wishes: Mugler

I distinctly remember saying to Anthony, who was sitting next to me at the Mugler A/W 2011 show, “Wouldn’t I look great in that jacket?” His answer was something British and sarcastic, but that’s not the point. Because this jacket is made for me: it’s like one third gentleman’s club, one third something Michael Jackson would wear, and one third goth. Combined = me. Also, this has totally been Nicola and Romain’s year so I think it’s only right to honour them at Christmas, too.

DANSK Wishes: Jackpot

You know us – we’re pretty much suckers for anything simple and clean, and this Jackpot dress ticks both of those boxes. Plus, as Grazia would say, you can totes take it from workwear to evening via a well-placed accessory or two. Definitely one for the Christmas list.

We heart Prada x LG 3.0

There really is nothing quite as satisfying as a hi-tech supergadget that comes in immaculate packaging. Case in point: the new PRADA Phone by LG 3.0 in Prada’s signature Saffiano pattern. Launching next year, the third edition of Prada and LG’s collaboration packs some serious power in its 8.5 millimeter thin design.

Now, we could go on at great length about the 800 nits touchscreen, the 8 megapixel camera, the 8GB internal memory and the 1.0 GHz Dual-Core processor, but y’all are probably better off getting an actual phone expert to explain all of that. Instead, we’ll highlight the stuff we know about instead, namely the chic accessories: the new phone comes with the option of a matching Prada phone dock, a Bluetooth headset and custom Prada phone cases.

DANSK Wishes: Königs

A little while ago, I was quoted in a piece in Horse & Hound where I described dressage maestro Edward Gal’s gold riding boots as “The Only Way is Essex called. They want their boots back.” So yeah. I basically don’t think bling belongs in a dressage arena. These black Königs Grandgester dressage boots, however, are perfection. And while y’all may not share my love of sitting atop 1,100 lbs of unpredictable horsepower, I think we can all agree that these boots are sick.

DANSK Wishes: Christian Lacroix

Not one to be impartial to a military detail, I certainly wouldn’t say no if someone decided to give me this Christian Lacroix A/W 2011 coat for Christmas (and if Charlie Westerberg is included, I’m sure I can find a way to live with that, too).

I’m not going to lie and say that 20-35% of the reason I want it isn’t so I can say, “It’s Lacroix, darling!” whenever someone comments on it, but I know for a fact that Sacha Walckhoff is totally fine with this kind of association. (Because I asked him.)

DANSK Wishes: Meadham Kirchhoff

I have no words for how much I love this Meadham Kirchhoff witch on a broomstick jumper. When the Addams Family finally realise I’m their long lost daughter and come to pick me up in their 1932 Packard Twin Six, this is what I’ll wear. With a floor-length Meadham Kirchhoff skirt. (I already have the t-shirt.)

DANSK Wishes: Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham and I go, like, way back. 1997 was a particularly thrilling year: I dressed up as Victoria for the annual football match at my riding club, where four of my friends and I got our cheerleading on in full Spice Girls regalia. (FYI, it gets a bit chilly wearing a tiny black dress at an outdoors riding arena in February, and I don’t recommend sitting in the hay without wearing hosiery.) These days, I like to pay homage to Victoria via her amazing eponymous collection instead, and her Wayfarers are at the top of my Christmas wish list. (Notice the subtle Vs on either side – so hawt.)
