Touch my clutch

This, Ladies and Gentlemen, is a rather fetching lizard clutch by VAZA. We’ve become a bit obsessed with Mr. Vaza’s offerings. There are python and shark editions, too – and an ultra-soft, fluffy chinchilla one, which we’ll probably request for a shoot soon and never, ever return. (”Why, I don’t know what happened! FedEx – they’re most unreliable, no?”)
You won’t ever catch Aseef Vaza fooling around with any other bag besides a clutch. For, as he says: “Oversized bags overpower you, while clutches empower you.”
And there you have it, gentle readers. Now go shop – VAZA is showing at Eastern Block in Paris this week. Order books at the ready…

We promised you some proper close-ups of Hannah Martin’s rings from Hannah Marshall’s show, and here they are.
No one does lethal glamour quite like Martin. It pretty much looks as if the long spikes are pierced straight through the fingers. And these babies are perfect for slicing some more strategically placed holes in your Marshall velvet dress.

I could wax lyrical for ages (very cheesy pun absolutely intended) about these insanely amazing Rodarte heels, but let’s just enjoy the melted candlewax heels in all their sick glory. Nicholas Kirkwood, you are a very clever boy indeed.

When Carine Roitfeld lifts a coat backstage after your show, then you know you’re in business.
Not one to be upstaged by Ms. Wintour’s furry escapades, Ms. Roitfeld has been spotted all over town in this moss green Saga Furs blue fox number from Ohne Titel’s autumn/winter 2010 collection. The entire back is mushroom suede – quite clever, no?

Martyn Bal is fast becoming a DANSK favourite. Actually, he’s kind of obtained that title in record time – also, Graeme at IPR was sneaky enough to stick a few photos into a certain editor’s pocket before he jetted off for the spring/summer 2010 editorial meeting in Copenhagen… and how Mr. and Mrs. Boss loved it! If one had a penny for every ooh and ah one could hear whilst that look book made its rounds round that meticulously polished, black, shiny Danish design table, one could… well, maybe one would come a step closer to affording that coat up there from Martyn’s autumn/winter 2010 collection. Swoon!

OMG, y’all! The New Moon dolls have arrived: Normal Edward, Diamond Skin Edward, Lobster Jacob and my personal favourite, River Island Shop Assistant Jasper.
I initally tried coming up with a fashion angle for this post, but gave up and I don’t really care because the other day I spent the evening at my 23-year-old (!) female friend’s house where framed pictures of Robert Pattinson were casually scattered amongst her family portraits. So… at this point, this Twi/Moon fever pretty much transcends such silly things as, you know, blog concepts and that decision someone at the office made about us not blogging about pop culture trivialities.
Oh, by the way… where’s the Caius doll?
