Mhmmm, girlfriend! Daum, the months I’ve been waiting to use that headline. (No, really.) Now the time has finally come for me to do a J.Lo hair flick and a strut, because the new men’s Louboutin sneakers have arrived – and they’re exclusive to the nice people at Harvey Nichols.
We’ve been thinking about stealing coveting Todd Lynn’s studded pair of CLs for a while but now we can actually get our own leopard print ones. The suede and crystal ones are quite tempting, too. Buy one get one free, right?

It was barely noon but when has that ever stopped Amalie anyone from drinking out of the bottle?
We highly recommend The Copenhagen (recipe above), which we were served today at the Heering and Lars Wallin show at Nimb.

Deadlines are a-looming at DANSK and in crazy times like these a fashion writer becomes ever so grateful for awesome PRs who know how to spoon-feed you suggest nice blog posts.
Take the above, which arrived in my inbox courtesy of the dashing Andrew at Material PR: totes sexy gold bijoux jewels by Gogo Philip, shot by Mari Sarai, and ready to be picked up from a Topshop near you by the truckload. Gold fever, y’all!

Look what we spotted during a visit to Burberry’s London showroom last week: out of all the jugs in the world, they’ve chosen the one and only Stelton jug; a timeless Danish design icon since the seventies.
Danish dynamite!

Last week, I was discussing early nineties’ fashion choices with one of my school friends. (I say ‘choices’ but of course I mean ’stuff that everyone else at school wore and which you then wore, too’.) We fondly remembered our extensive Palladium collections and wondered if they’d be making a comeback soon, what with all these nineties fashion item comebacks currently doing the rounds.
And lo and behold, this morning I click on Fashionista.com only to find this story about the shoes my father used to refer to as “those ghastly duck feet”. At my Sloane-tastic school, we worked the, um, Prunge look (preppy meets grunge – and yes, there’s a reason Grazia keep turning down my job applications. I can’t coin a fashion phrase to save my life) which consisted of the Pampa High Canvas or the Oxford Canvas worn with (pristinely ironed) oversized boy’s plaid shirts and (nice beige) leggings.
Anyways, two’s a coincidence, three’s a trend, so let’s wait this one out and see if anyone we know actually starts wearing them.

You know you want to.
Above, Marc’s new menswear fragrance, available from July 30th. We’ll have to wait and see if it does what it says on the tin.

Life at a biannual fashion magazine is pretty hectic. I mean, putting out two issues a year really takes its toll on you. Every day you’re working hard to meet deadlines in January and July, and this constant pressure makes you a tad forgetful at times.
Take these too-perfect-to-even-describe-with-lots-of-fashion-adjectives velvet Dr Martens. We spotted these at the Exposure press day last month, and it’s taken us until now to find the time to blog about them. But here they are, and you know you want them so bad. Especially the wine-coloured ones.

1 COMMENTA shaded view on Linda

Behold, the new Marios Schwab sunglasses, done in collaboration with hot Berlin label Mykita. Hot damn! So chic, so eccentric, so very covetable.
The industrial ones with the bar across the top frame are called Hamilton, after the one and only Linda Hamilton and her butch-tastic Terminator getup. I feel a Linda tribute post coming on…

Clemens en August have teamed up with British artist Liam Gillick and the result is this rather dashing pair of men’s shoes aptly titled Left Shoe Right Shoe, available to order while the brand is on tour this summer. And yes, you read that correctly: every season, the brand does indeed tour, setting up shop at museums and galleries around the world, where fans and groupies gather.
Perhaps DANSK should start touring as well. After all, Mrs. Boss is already our very own in-house Madonna, so it would be quite fitting. And I for one would LOVE to see the team’s collective rider…
