Kim’s Paris Journal
March 9th 2012, Posted By kim In Standing TicketI love Paris in the spring… However, during Paris Fashion Week it was not spring, it was 6 degrees! And as I had no socks in my new braided leather shoes with cork soles from Burberry.
Even though I had some wonderful Parisian experiences. The new hotel in Marais, Hotel Jules & Jim where I stayed is super cool and petit. Even though my Lanvin invitation got lost yet found again (horror), this is my new favorite place to stay in Paris.
Last but not least I had lots of coffee( white wine) and people watching at the Hotel Costes, Marley and Café Ruc – all owned by the clan (…) and a superb exhibition at Les Arts Decoratifs with Jean Paul Goude.

Okay, so we’re walking down Davies Street after the Erdem party in Berkeley Square and just as we’re about to pass the London College of Fashion, I look up… and it’s gone! Um, when did this happen?! LFC is gone! Not that I have particularly fond memories of the place, but it all seems a little drastic, no?
And more importantly, I wonder what’s happened to the visual notebook I left in Brenda Polan’s office on the 3rd floor about four years ago… I put at least 23 good minutes into making that book.

1 COMMENTSeats, please

We hate to bitch, but We have to bitch. What’s up with the seating at CFW?
It’s really most delightful to arrive at a show only to be told one’s seat ‘sadly isn’t available any longer.’ Um, last time we checked this wasn’t EasyJet. Or a job vacancy. How very uncivilised.
So, what? It’s first come, first served? Funny that, we thought a ticket request and a simple rsvp meant something. And not to be funny or anything, but when a 13-year-old ‘fashion kid’ is sitting in your seat, it kind of makes matters worse.
