We’re quite partial to F-Troupe’s handsome brogues at DANSK. And this morning we received news that the label is opening its first flagship store in Soho, London this September.
The new Made in England capsule collection of handmade men’s and women’s brogues (note the anchor-shaped cutouts – very chic, no?) will be exclusive to the store, which promises to be part Dickensian curiosity with a bit of Victorian bric-a-brac such as taxidermy and circus freak imagery thrown in for good measure. We like.

‘Tis the season of Céline, and sorry for going 17-year-old style blogger on y’all, but since shopping is the very foundation that our noble industry is founded upon I had to share my favourite new Copenhagen store with you. Sharing is caring, no?
I purchased above clutch at Time’s Up, owned by Jesper Richardy, who has friggin’ awesome buying skills and rails packed with vintage Montana, Versace, Alaïa; the whole nine yards. Time’s Up isn’t really a new store, it’s just that my knowledge of what’s cool in the motherland came to an abrupt standstill when I moved many years ago. Just ask my poor colleagues at DANSK, who still have to listen to me cracking jokes from various Danish comedy shows circa 2001.
Anyways, you should defo check out Time’s Up if you’re in Copenhagen next week for fash-on week.

DANSK HQ recently took a little trip to London and what can I say? We’ve found our new favourite shop ever – a little pink gem tucked away just off Regent Street, full of inspiration.
For all your pink needs – and they even have stuff for men, too! We should know, it took ages to pry Mrs Boss away from there.

July 7th 2010, Posted By anders In GoseeDoesn’t quite have the same ring to it as ‘become a fan of…’, does it? But eventually we must all give in to modernity – even Facebook – and we’re sort of alright with people liking us on Facebook.
Actually, you can like us anywhere you want at any time. You can like us in the sauna, like us in the bath, like us in a public lavatory, like us on a plane, like us on the kitchen table. Just don’t like us in nature. It’s weird and sort of gross in a hippie kind of way.

READ MORE / POST YOUR COMMENTThe Antwerp Chronicles Part VII
June 22nd 2010, Posted By susanne In Gosee

The next chapter in the Antwerp saga came when we visited the legendary MoMu fashion museum. Here, a terribly kind curator had dreamt up my dream fashion exhibition: ‘Masters of Black’ – with lots of stunning Olivier Theyskens. (Okay, okay, so I lied a little. My dream fashion exhibition would probably be ‘An Ode to Thierry Mugler’ or ‘James Marsters models Men’s Underwear throughout the Ages’.)
Now, if you’ve ever wondered why Belgian designers are so fond of black the answer may just be in their heritage: our fashion oracle guide informed us that in the 16th century, the Antwerp region was at the forefront of dyeing cloth black.
As we strolled through the dimly lit rooms (no flash photography allowed – ye olde Crackberry did not perform so well, alas) and looked at Victorian mourning dresses and Coco Chanel’s LBD from 1926, it dawned on me that pretty much all the pieces – even down to a plain, modest bonnet from the 1600s – wouldn’t look out of place in today’s fashion sphere. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the power of black.
