And look what Mr. Uffe Buchard just sent us: why, it’s none other than Mr. Kim Grenaa, at the Margiela show. What is that in his hand, you ask? We have it on good authority it’s the new Givenchy gladiator sandals. Lucky boy!

Dear folks at Haribo,
How are you?
For a while now – let’s say about 25-30 years – we’ve been loyal followers of your brand. And we say followers because we’re not just mere customers, no siree, we really believe in Haribo. We don’t just think about Haribo every day, we talk about Haribo. A lot. We spend hours telling the good people of Britain about the wonders of Haribo in Denmark: how many different kinds you can get there, how many different types of Haribo you’ll find in each mix. We’re truly dedicated to the spirit and heritage of Haribo.
And yet, dear folks at Haribo, there is so little Haribo in our lives. Because you see, we have chosen to live a life away from the Danish Haribo we so love and cherish. We’ve chosen a grown-up life without the candy of our childhood, all in the name of living abroad. We’re paying the price for abandoning our roots and boy do we feel it – every time we buy the English Haribo! Where are the Bogstavlakridser? Where are the Ferskner? For God’s sake, where’s the Matador Mix?!!
So we are writing you with a humble request. A request for Danish Haribo. We are willing to do almost anything if you will [regularly] send us a selection of [Danish] Haribo to our London address. We will shamelessly promote you on the DANSK blog – write-ups, pictures, links, you name it. But please, pleeease send us some Haribo! We beg you.
Yours sincerely,
The UK DANSK Team
Ps. Tiff and Yas, we’ll totes distribute to you guys once the request goes through. Promise!

There’s nothing weirder looking than a bunch of demi-goths exiting the cooly minimal Copenhagen Airport with its Padauk wooden floors and glass walls. Perhaps only a bunch of demi-goths on the cooly minimal Copenhagen Metro with its white walls and glass doors – and weird robot driver. Oh Copenhagen, you’re so wonderfully clean! Anyway, these London demi-goths were on a mission and what a mission it was: it’s impressive how much you can do in two days when you really put your mind to it. (I’m of course not in the group picture AGAIN because SOMEONE has to be the one who documents things for the blog. Not that that annoys me or anything.)
A very special thank you to Gallery and Louise Amstrup.

Last week, your faithful Danish UK-based DANSK reporters travelled across the mini-pond to witness the opening of this season’s Copenhagen Fashion Week along with a delectable handful of London’s usual suspects. This blog entry was of course set to be published last week, but due to Thursday’s tragic news of Lee McQueen’s death, we saw it only appropriate to let our statement regarding his passing stand undisturbed on the blog for some time.
Wednesday night saw the fabulous Louise Amstrup – who actually did a stint at McQueen before launching her own label – show her darkly delicious autumn/winter 2010 collection. Louise P opened the show, which was styled by Contributing Fashion Editor at DANSK, Anders Soelvsten Thomsen. Front row were Tiffany Hsu, Yasmina Dexter, Dean Mayo Davies, Pandora Lennard, yours truly and, of course, a ravishing looking Mrs. Boss. He always looks so fresh that one. (Mr. Boss was producing and watched from afar.)
As always, Miss Amstrup delivered a concise and ooh-I-want-that-one-and-that-one-and-that-one collection. Sexy, sporty and with the faintest whiff of gloom, Louise kicked off CFW rather perfectly. Aaaand for those of you who – like us – can’t get enough, do pick up a copy of the new DANSK for more Amstrup (and more Soelvsten Thomsen, for that matter).

I’ve actually run out of excuses to post previews now. But do you really need an excuse to post a picture of Bastiaan, though?
