Extraordinary Obsession

I mean, wow. It’s an old picture, I know (it’s part of the Céline Fall ’10 campaign), but I’m currently obsessing over Gitte Lee, one of Denmark’s all time greatest models – she’s been married to actor Christopher Lee for decades. She’s in her late 70s, but still full of cool-factor. She started to work as a model in London more than 50 years ago, but (as you can see) she’s still going strong.

Crush of the week: The New Icons

Okay, so this week’s ‘Crush of the week’, isn’t just one person – it’s the amazing foursome Daphne Groeneveld, Joan Smalls, Lindsay Wixson and Liu Wen – H&M’s ‘New Icons’.

H&M has recently created a new collection inspired by the four leading models’ own off-duty style, influenced by a mix of everything from rock ‘n’ roll to gypsy bohemian. We really love each model’s individual style and what they contribute with to the collection. (more…)

Crush of the week: Diane Kruger

As one of the most elegant and stylish women of international cinema, it is no wonder that the German darling, Diane Kruger, takes our title as crush of the week.

Drawn by her cosmopolitan spirit and artistic background, the House of CHANEL has several times chosen miss Kruger, for its advertising campaigns such as ALLURE fragrance in 1996 and for the Paris-Biarritz bag, shot by Lagerfeld himself, in 2007. (more…)

Crush of the week: Coco from Quadron

This weeks crush is the Danish singer Coco from the Danish pop soul duo Quadron, who is a rising star in the music industry. Last week Quadron won the “Talent Price” at the Award Show ’P3 Gold’ and though it took Denmark a little time to find Coco, she already have fans around the wold such as Prince and Adele.

Besides that, the cool singer has worked with some of the heavy boys in the industry such as Jay-Z, Pharrell Williams and Taylor The Creator. Coco is featured with the song ‘Where the Wind Blows’ on the new soundtrack for The Great Gatsby (out in cinemas in May) produced by Jay-Z himself! Denmark has a new diva, and she is going to take the world!

Crush of the week: The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton

At the DANSK office we are true fans of all the European Royal families, which means that the Duchess of Cambridge, HRH Kate Middelton, is never out of our sight.

We adore her classic style and her love for Scandinavian fashion. Yesterday, at the mark of the 150 years of the London Underground, the Duchess was yet again seen in cool Danish brand By Malene Birger. More Kate Middleton in Scandinavian fashion please!

Seeing how the 29-year-old designer has managed to create an aw13 collection for Balenciaga that is kept so true to the brand’s values but at the same time has got that Wang feel to it, we can’t help but admire this great talent a little more, than we already do..

Crush of the week: Aymeline Valade

The question isn’t whom she has modeled for; It’s whom she hasn’t modeled for. Being ranked top 13 at Models.com, there’s no doubt that the French-born beauty has build up quite an impressive portfolio over the years. Being 28-years old, she’s still strolling down an impressive number of runways, not to mention that brands like Burberry Prorsum, Gucci and Alexander Wang are only a few out of many highly respected brands that she’s already walked for this season.
