Last year, I think I was responsible for at least thirty views on the doggy video (which you can re-watch here), and this morning, we’ve already abused the replay button on this year’s walk of shame-themed amazingness.
Oh, and via her Twitter this morning, Harvey Nicks’ Victoria Meekings would like to remind everyone that “Harvey Nichols does not condone hedonistic nor reckless behaviour, unless it involves losing one’s mind in our fabulous stores.” Preach.

L-O-V-I-N-G the Gucci Twitter this weekend. The Gucci Masters are on (that’s a major showjumping event for those of you that don’t speak horse), and fittingly, the Gucci team – Charlotte Casiraghi and Edwina Tops-Alexander – won the fancy dress Style and Competition class for their Gucci disco ensembles and clear rounds. It’s probably a good thing I didn’t see these costumes when I was 12. There would have been major pre-teen tantrums over the fact that I couldn’t have sparkly Gucci jodhpurs and a tasseled Gucci belt for my fancy dress event at the pony club.

Walking into Holland and Holland is a bit like dying and going to heaven. That is, if your heaven consists of tweed for days, guns and general hunting amazingness. I know mine does, anyways. Tally Ho, y’all! For spring/summer, creative director Niels van Rooyen – whom we had the utmost pleasure of bumping into whilst perusing the new collection – has conjured up the chicest safari pieces possible. Junior Madsen had a small seizure when we discovered The Duchess of Windsor’s vintage trunk. Need. That. Like. Yesterday.

Come spring, everything will be better down where it’s wetter. (No, I’m not being unusually rude on quiet Thursday, I’m quoting The Little Mermaid. Seriously, people. You’re too much.) And Holly Fulton’s aquatic masterpieces are so up our street it’s ridiculous. I think the lovely Arabella now possibly thinks Junior Madsen and I are on the list of Holly’s potential stalkers. Also at Talk’s press day: the collage-tastic Michael van der Ham. Loving this silk shirt.

Oh, Harvey Pickles, we heart you so much. Not only do you not frown upon me doing some pre-flatwork lesson shopping in my jodhpurs and dirty boots (thank you for setting up shop right around the corner from the Queen’s pony club), but you also stock all the things we want to buy. Like studded metallic Louboutins and sparkly Miu Miu sunglasses. Extra points for recreating Meadham Kirchhoff’s pastel balloon archways for your press day.

Our press day tour also took us by the lovely girls at DeVetta, where we ooh’ed and ah’ed over Brora’s cashmere offerings – not least their brilliantly playful collaboration with Louise Gray. It was the day of the Louises: our homegirl Louise Amstrup has recently relocated to DeVetta – loving the New York cityscape prints and pleated dresses.

Press day at Karla Otto is a pretty epic experience. Clothes for days, y’all, and an army of amazing KO’ers to take you through it all. One of our biggest highlights was Valentino – Maria Grazia and Pier Paolo, your tricks with lace make us all giddy with excitement – and we also spent an indecent amount of time at the COS and Givenchy rails. We also bumped into our fellow Danes from Shamballa, Mads and Mikkel Kornerup, who have just signed with Karla Otto and had brought along their glitzy magic balls. Good times.

Olivier Theyskens doesn’t know this yet, but we’re all set to get married at a lavish midnight ceremony this winter. I’ll be wearing one of his ah-mah-zing gothic-romantic gowns for Theyskens’ Theory. Olivier will be looking dreamy with his long hair. (There may be clothes involved, too.) And the guests will be asked to dress goff, innit.

The buying at Browns is all kinds of amazing, something which the press day only served to remind us of. It took quite some time to get Junior Madsen to leave the Dries rail, and I got a bit excited about the Christopher Kane menswear prints. Very Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle: The Backdrop. And that’s a good thing, obviously.
