At DANSK, we’re firm believers in a classic men’s statement watch. And nothing gets our hearts racing like a TAG Heuer – their tag line (yup, bad pun totally intended) should say something along the lines of ‘Amazing since 1860′. We’re keeping our fingers crossed for a small square box under the Christmas tree…

Christmas party footwear: not your regular type of footwear. You want something awesome enough to turn a few heads, but something that’s still wearable enough that you can crawl your way into a cab in it at 5 in the morning… not that these kind of extravagances apply to the magazine publishing industry, who get to deadline our way through December, but we’re not bitter at all. Anyway, this ECCO number in luxury full-grain leather and brushable nubuck gets our stamp of approval. One for the Christmas list!

Yesterday, we opened the doors to DANSK and GrenaaBuchard HQ for our annual Christmas event – aka the annual excuse to eat ridiculous amounts of sugar. Cue the Summerbird flødeboller (the Danish version of oversized teacakes only, like, way better) and chocolate-coated almonds. Our guests also enjoyed a very boozy White Glögg (that’s Nordic speak for mulled wine) courtesy of the lovely Lærke – our in-house Nigella. By 7pm, the Glögg was gone and the Möet came out, and a very jolly time was had by all.
And because sharing is caring, Lærke has agreed to disclose her secret Glögg recipe – which, she says, is not an exact science. So go ahead and go crazy with those raisins, kids.

Christian Dior once said that one isn’t properly dressed unless one is wearing a hat. He probably wasn’t talking about woolly beanies and bobble hats, but just indulge us on this one. At DANSK HQ, Mr Boss takes everyday hat-wearing very seriously – we’ve been trying to pry Noel Stewart’s headpiece from our A/W 11 cover away from him for ages, but he just loves to wear that little spiked nun hat at his desk.

As DANSK readers you probably have a passion for quality design and in busy times like these a great watch is a must. That’s why we at DANSK turn to designer Henning Koppel, the man who set the standard for Danish design.
For Christmas, DANSK really wants the classic Koppel Chronograph, which is a sportier version of the two new gents’ watches. It draws your attention with its sapphire glass Koppel Chronograph and champagne-coloured dial. Suddenly a smaller gift under the tree is not so bad after all.
