Danish eyewear brand Ørgreen invited the Danish press for a preview of their new collection last week. With their shapes and use of materials, Ørgreen has delivered a retro inspired and cool line of glasses. We at DANSK have been fans of the brand for a long time and with the new collection we will indeed continue our little love affair.

On Friday DANSK closed Copenhagen Fashion Week and celebrated our 10-year anniversary in collaboration with MINI and the brand new MINI Roadster. At an old girls’ school from the 18th century located in the heart of Copenhagen we invited our 250 closest fashion friends for Campari and Hendrick’s cocktails and fashionable Copen*hagen beer. Copenhagen gets the Acne treatment

As far as Acne fandom goes, we’re up there in the stalker stakes. (Junior Madsen’s interview with Jonny Johansson for our autumn/winter 11 issue was really just another clever ploy to get extra close to our Swedish idol.) So imagine our delight when we found out Acne are opening a new shop in Copenhagen on February 2nd 2012. Hell to the yeah.
Jonny tells us the Pilestræde store will have a red light district theme: ”What comes to mind when I think about Copenhagen is drugs, sex and naughtiness – it’s dirty, laid-back and unpretentious. My first memory of Copenhagen is its red light district (Istedgade, red). In Sweden we don’t have that and the memory has stayed with me. Therefore this shop will be red, red and a bit dirty!” All kinds of awesome.
